This Privacy Policy explains how Fractional Academy Asia collects, uses and protects personal data. It is written to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

1. Who we are

Fractional Academy Asia ("we", "us", "our") is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Company registration details will be published here on incorporation.

2. Scope

This policy applies to personal data we collect through our website, our assessments and forms, our emails, and our online learning platform.

3. Personal data we collect

Identity and contact data — such as your name, email address and, where you provide them, your organisation and role.
Assessment and enquiry data — the responses you submit to our questionnaires and forms, and any results generated from them.
Transaction data — details of what you have purchased and your payment status. We do not receive or store full payment card details; these are handled by our payment provider.
Learning data — your progress through the programme, completion records, certificates and any contributions you make in member areas.
Communications data — correspondence with us and information about how you interact with our emails.
Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and information about how you reached our site.

We do not seek to collect special categories of personal data. Please do not send us health information, financial account details, government identification numbers or information about other people in free-text fields or correspondence.

4. How and why we use your data

We use personal data for the following purposes, relying on the legal bases indicated:

To provide the assessments, reports, materials and programmes you request or purchase, and to administer your account — performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request.
To send you educational and promotional communications — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
To respond to enquiries and provide support — contract or our legitimate interests.
To operate, secure, analyse and improve our website and programmes, and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing — our legitimate interests, and your consent where required for cookies and similar technologies.
To prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised sharing of accounts or materials — our legitimate interests.
To comply with accounting, tax and other legal obligations — legal obligation.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out beforehand, and we may still send you service messages relating to a programme you have purchased.

5. Marketing communications

If you subscribe, complete an assessment or register an interest, we may send you educational and promotional emails. Every such email contains an unsubscribe link. Transactional messages — receipts, access details, certificates and service notices — are not marketing and will continue while you hold an active account.

6. Disclosure of your data

We do not sell personal data. We share it only as follows:

Service providers who process personal data on our behalf under contract, including providers of website and course-delivery platforms, email and marketing tools, form and survey tools, payment processing, analytics and advertising measurement, business email and file storage, and customer support.
Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary.
Authorities or third parties where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
A successor entity in connection with a merger, reorganisation or sale of our business.

7. International transfers

Our service providers operate internationally, so your personal data may be processed outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area and outside Singapore. Where this happens, we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognised by applicable law — such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent contractual protections — so that your data continues to receive a comparable standard of protection.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, after which it is deleted or anonymised. In practice this means we retain enquiry and marketing records for a limited period after your last engagement with us, member and learning records for the duration of your access and a reasonable period afterwards, and transaction and accounting records for the period required by applicable law. Records of marketing preferences are kept for as long as needed to honour them.

9. Security

We use reputable platforms and apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit, restricted administrative access and strong authentication. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure. Where a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk or significant harm to affected individuals, we will notify the competent supervisory authority and, where required, the individuals concerned, within the timeframes set by applicable law.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to: confirm what personal data we hold about you and provide a copy; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; delete data where we have no continuing need or legal obligation to retain it; restrict or object to certain processing; provide your data in a portable format; and stop sending you marketing.

Where the GDPR applies, you also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Any scores or results our assessments generate are advisory content and are not used to make such decisions.

To exercise any right, write to support@fractionalacademy.asia. We will verify your identity and respond within the period required by applicable law, and in any event within 30 days. There is normally no charge.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary for the site to function and cannot be switched off. Others support analytics and advertising measurement, and these are only set after you consent to them.

When you first visit, a consent banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. Until you accept, those technologies are blocked from running. You can change your choice at any time through the preference controls on our site, and you can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working. 12. Children

Our programmes are intended for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version and its date are always published on this page. Where a change materially affects you, we will give notice by email.

14. Complaints

Please raise any concern with us first at support@fractionalacademy.asia. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In Estonia this is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon); in Singapore it is the Personal Data Protection Commission.
